About Rachel....

Hello & Welcome to my Page,

  So I can tell you a bit about me & how my Business, 'Rachel's Massage' was born;

______________________________________________                                         ______________________________________________

To begin,I studied Sports at School and College, qualifying as a Level 3 Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Following this, I worked in the Leisure Industry for many years, so I think it's fair to say that I have always had an interest in the Human Body, Fitness and Leisure.

I have always enjoyed keeping fit. I enjoy running and have taken part in a handful of Charity Runs. I love swimming and am a bit of a gym bunny.

I had touched lightly on Sports Massage at College and enjoyed it so much I enrolled on a Sports Massage Therapy Course, where I was delighted to qualify in 2013. I absolutely loved the Course and knew instantly this was my Career ...

...Later in 2013, I left the UK and went to Australia, one of the best decisions I ever made.

Downunder, I had the opportunity to work in a Pregnancy Massage Day Spa. Working with Ladies at all different stages Pre and Post Pregnancy, a true pamper and well-deserved time-out. This was an invaluable training, I was extremely lucky!

I also worked alongside an AFL (Australian Football Team) whilst earning my 2nd year Working Holiday Visa, dealing with a number of injuries, long and short term, this again was a top experience, one I won't forget!

After many months of travel around Australia and New Zealand, came my return home to the UK two years later...

...I didn't want my experience of massaging to taper off, I just wanted it to continue!!

I had no money for a premises so I managed to reseach an amazing Insurance to cover me mobile.

I thought, what a luxury service...providing a treatment to  clients in the comfort of their own homes in and around Christchurch, UK.

So in 2016 I took the leap. From my safe, comfortable office job, to the Self Employment world. I have to say to this day - I have not looked back...(only to see how far I have come)

In 2018 I got married to my now husband. We had been together for 10 years so it was about time right?! haha.

A beautiful Hotel in Bournemouth on the seafront. It was over looking the Isle of Wight. A very special day.

I took three weeks off work for my Wedding and Honeymoon in the Maldives. The longest break I have had away from my business.

With so many wonderful Clients to return to, and the passion I have for the job it was a pleasure to be back to work.

** New Qualification Alert **

In 2019 I went to Brighton to start a Diploma In Teaching Infant Massage. I completed this within the year.

It basically means I teach Parents, (Carers,

Guardians, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas... anyone responsible for a baby) techniques, strokes to different areas of the babies body, helping baby, in so many positive ways. Everyone with a baby can benefit from this course.

I was able to practise, and use my baby as a Case Study, she loved it... slept through the night from 6 weeks old....

I swear baby massage was a huge part of this.

I am yet to launch this under Rachel's Massage....so... coming soon 🙌

In 2022 I was blessed to have our baby boy, Hugo Vernon, born in the July. He is extremley smiley and laid-back. Happy watching his sister dance around, so cute to witness. I had the rest of the year as Maternity, came back in the Spring of 2023.

Always extremely excited to get back work after Maternity Leave. As are my long suffering clients who I have been in touch with throughout the year.

I hope you have enjoyed this read about me. If I've not met you yet then I hope to soon ...

So, in 2020 I had my baby girl, Ruby, born on the 29th February so a little leapling, a truly unique and special date, she will be forever young that is for certain!

I planned to have a short maternity break with Ruby, but two weeks after she was born, a National Lockdown hit the world! Corona Virus!! This is still continuing as I update my website today, a whole year later.

A tough year for many, for a many number of reasons. I think we need to concentrate on the positives and hope we will be out of this in the very near future. I personally feel very blessed to of had the additional time off with my baby girl.
